History
Equestrikansen was founded by Sanya Hikari, who was inspired by the Japonese Shinkansen. The company's first bullet train service will launch on November 22, 2018, two days before the 2018 Running Of The Leaves.

Power source
The trains are powered by small overhead storm clouds on special tech called clouddippers or magic batteries underneath the coaches.
How the clouddipper works
A train hits a red button on the tracks. This causes a special block to launch and hit the dipping bird, which then hits the cloud, causing it to zap the overhead wire, which powers the train.
Slab tracks, flow, speed, and stations
Slab track The Equestrikansen services run on special slab tracks on a high speed line instead of the conventional tracks the Friendship Express uses.
